**Axanar Productions** Inc. is  one of the named [[lawsuit#defendants|defendants]] in the [[lawsuit]] brought by [[cbs|CBS Studios]] and [[Paramount Pictures]] for [[copyright infringement]] against its [[cbs#cbs and Star Trek|Star Trek]] intellectual property.

[[http://www.axanarproductions.com|Axanar Productions]] is a Valencia, Calif.-based, film production company and for-profit corporation [[http://kepler.sos.ca.gov/|registered]] in the state of California. [[Alec Peters]], producer of the //[[Axanar]]// film, is its chief executive officer.

Throughout the **AxaMonitor** site, the term 'Axanar,' without italics, is used colloquially to refer to the group of people producing the film, //[[Axanar]]//, which is italicized to refer specifically to the film. This commercial production facility comprises a soundstage, production offices, editing suite and other amenities built out in a warehouse leased by Axanar Productions. The cost for the improvements were at least $400,000, and funded by Axanar's [[axanar_kickstarter_details|second Kickstarter]] campaign.

On March 16, 2016, Axanar announced it was selling the Ares Studios assets to a [[investor_group|private investor group]] in an effort to apply proceeds from the sale to the unmet production budget for //Axanar//.

There will be six novellas.
Each story will be 60-80 pages
5 authors are known Treklit authors including James Swallow
The other author is NYTB Aaron Dembski-Bowden
There will be a story about each of the following characters: Captain Garth, Admiral Ramirez, Captain Alexander, Commander Kharn, Captain Travis, and Ambassador Soval. The stories are set during the Four Years War.
Aaron Dembski-Bowden will write the Captain Alexander story.
James Swallow will write the Captain Garth story.
Aaron Dembski-Bowden will probably write the Axanar novelization
